Furniture and
product design
studio
We partner with interior designers and brands to take products from first conversation to finished piece. Coming in early and staying close so what arrives on site matches what was intended.
Which one sounds like you?
Interior
designer
You're working on a project and you can't find what you need off the shelf. You know how it should feel, but you don't have the in-house capability to design it, and managing manufacturers isn't your world. What arrives on site looks technically correct and feels nothing like what you intended.
Furniture brand
or manufacturer
You have a product business but no design team. Ideas come from everywhere but there's no one to take them and roll them through properly. And the CAD and Revit files specifiers actually need? Left until last, or not done at all.
About
Chloe Starks
Chloe Starks is a founder-led furniture design studio built on seven years across manufacturers, design studios, and commercial fit-out projects. I work with a small team of designers and technical specialists, partnering with interior designers, developers, and brands on commercial interiors where the furniture has purpose and shapes how a space feels.

I'm not based in the UK — does that matter?
Not at all. Most of my client relationships are fully remote. We work across time zones using video calls, shared tools, and clear communication — the process is designed around it, not despite it.
How does scheduling and flexibility work?
Every project has a rhythm that we agree on upfront — check-ins, review points, turnaround times. I work with clients across different time zones and schedules, so we build something that works for both sides rather than fitting you into a fixed structure.
I'm an interior designer, not a furniture brand — can you still work with me?
Yes. I work with interior designers who need a design partner for bespoke or specification-led projects. If you're not sure whether your project is a fit, just reach out — it's the fastest way to find out.
Do you work with small businesses or larger brands?
Both. The studio is set up to work at different scales — from independent designers and small manufacturers to established furniture brands with bigger NPD pipelines. What matters more than size is whether we're the right fit for each other.
Can I start with a Sprint and move into something bigger?
Absolutely. A Sprint is often where we start — it's a contained way to work together before committing to something longer. Several of my ongoing partnerships began exactly that way.
What do I need to have ready before we start?
Less than you'd think. A clear sense of what you're trying to achieve is enough to start the conversation. If your brief is still forming, that's fine too — part of what I do is help bring shape to an idea before it becomes a project.
Do you do CAD design?
Yes — technical drawing and CAD is part of the process where needed, particularly within Concept to Production projects. It's not always required at the Sprint stage, but we'll be clear about what's included from the start.
Can I see more of your work?
The case studies on the site are a selection — there's more behind the scenes. If you're looking for something specific, get in touch and I can share what's most relevant to your project.
